The Convent of the Lovers of the Holy Cross, near Vinh, North Vietnam, was a memorable destination for my husband, Tom Ward, and me this past March. We visited Sr. Cao Thi Hue and Sr. Thu Nguyen, and we met many other sisters there. Although we were especially happy to see Sr. Hue and Sr. Thu, we were impressed with the kindness and hospitality we experienced from all of the nuns.
Srs. Hue and Thu were the first Vietnamese nuns from this convent to study at Madonna, starting in 2007. Tom and I have kept in touch with these remarkable women, and we were delighted to see them on their "home turf." The following photos were all taken at or near their convent.
